The MG3 is a light hatchback built for city driving, easy parking and keeping fuel costs down. At just over 4 metres long, it slots into tight spaces outside the shops. It threads through traffic without any drama. It suits a first car, a commuter runabout, or a simple second car for the household. The boot holds 307 litres with the back seats up. Fold them down and that grows to 1081 litres for a bigger load.
The 1.5 litre engine makes 82kW and 150Nm, paired with a 4 speed automatic. Combined fuel use is 6.7 litres per 100km, handy if most of your driving is around town. An 8 inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay comes standard, along with cruise control, a reversing camera and parking sensors. Cloth seats and air conditioning cover the everyday basics.

“I was taken by surprise when I got the approval from Saul Catterall over the phone at work. I was so glad to be in a car driving a vehicle instead of taking public transport here there and everywhere to work and back plus Ubers as well.
