About this vehicle
The MG ZS Excite is a small SUV with a bit more kit for the money. It sits higher than a hatch, so you get a good view of the road and an easy step in and out. That makes it handy for family duties, the daily commute, and weekend runs around South East Queensland.
The Excite runs a 1.5 litre petrol engine with an automatic gearbox, using about 6.7 litres per 100km on the combined cycle. It is light to steer and simple to park. Behind the back seats you get a 443-litre boot, with more room again when you fold the seats down.
The Excite trim adds features you notice every day. There are 16-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with built-in sat-nav and Apple CarPlay, and push-button start. The MG Pilot safety suite is standard too, with auto emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.

“I was taken by surprise when I got the approval from Saul Catterall over the phone at work.
