What does the process look like with Carzie?

1. Choose the car that best suits you.

We have a variety of reliable, late-model car brands available for you to drive, and the best part is you have the option to switch to a newer model every 3-4 years, making it easy to upgrade to your next car. Leasing a new vehicle every few years means you are driving a car that is typically still covered by warranty, giving you added peace of mind and minimising unexpected repair costs.

You have the freedom to choose a car from our fleet shown on the website, or if you prefer, we’ll match you with the perfect vehicle to suit your lifestyle and budget. You can even visit our dealership to see, test-drive and apply for the car you love in-person.

2. Apply and see if you are eligible in minutes

Once you’ve found the vehicle you love, you can then proceed to apply online. The form process is a simple and hassle-free application form featuring a few questions to help us understand your circumstances. As part of the process, you’ll be asked to answer your personal details, employment history, upload your identification and confirm your preferred term and lease repayments. If you’re eligible, you’ll then be contacted by our customer service team, who will help finalise your application and arrange collection for your chosen car.

3. Drive away in as little as 24 hours

Once approved, you’ll then need to pay the up-front deposit (which is two weeks of repayments) to secure your car. Our team will then prepare your car, this includes cleaning and servicing the vehicle before it’s handed over. Next, once you have arranged a collection date for your car, simply turn up to our Slacks Creek Showroom where you will be given the keys, documents and you’ll be all set to drive away.

You can then enjoy your car and drive freely over the next 36-48 months, during which you’ll only have to cover the regular weekly or fortnightly payments for the use of the vehicle and ongoing maintenance – otherwise that’s it, insurance and annual registration is covered!

4. And finally, love your car!

Above everything else, we want to make sure that you love your car and enjoy the freedom that comes with it. We have no restrictions on where you drive, or the distance you travel (allowing up to 30,000 km per year, with no additional charges), giving you the opportunity to commute to work, but take those well-deserved adventures with the family or drive the car you love without worry.

When your lease ends, you simply return the vehicle, as you have no automatic right or obligation to purchase the vehicle. But if you’ve fallen in love with it, let Carzie know you’re interested in purchasing and make an offer. At the end of your lease, you may even choose to start a fresh lease for a newer car, but you’ve always got the benefit of plenty of options with Carzie.

How do I apply?

You can apply for a car with Carzie online on our website once you have selected a vehicle here. We have made applying for a Carzie lease simple, with a six-step form that will allow you to know your eligibility in as little as 5 minutes.

When you have been confirmed as eligible for a lease, you will then receive an email and SMS requesting your last 90 days of bank statements. This helps us to understand your affordability and capability to meet the weekly, fortnightly or monthly lease payments.

Once complete, we will then send you an SMS with a link to verify your identity. This will typically request a photo or scan of your driver’s licence (front and back) and a live photo of yourself.

Upon verification of your identity and affordability, your application will then be finalised and our customer service team will promptly begin processing your lease application and be in touch. After that you’ll be able to arrange a collection date to pick up your car, while our team quickly ensures a full service and polished car, ready for your arrival.

How fast can I get my car?

You can have the car within 24-72 working hours from your successful application.

The collection timeframe will depend on how quickly the application process and documents are completed. Once we have received your application, our team will work immediately to process your application and if approved, prepare the car for your collection as soon as possible.

Can I apply for a car if I have bad credit?

Yes, you may still be eligible for a car lease if you’re employed and earning a stable income, despite your credit score. At Carzie we are driven to help people with bad credit get into cars.

Through consistent on time payments Carzie can assist you with building your Credit confidence.

Is there a deposit required?

Yes, there is a deposit required to secure your vehicle and allow us to schedule the car for a service ready for your collection. We usually request an up-front deposit of equal to two (2) weekly payments of your lease term in advance, before you collect your car.

How long are the car lease terms you offer?

With Carzie, our leases range from 3 – 4 years, after which you then have the option to upgrade to a newer car to suit your needs.

Can I choose the car I want to lease?

Absolutely. You can browse through our extensive selection of late-model cars on our website, all of which are available and ready to be leased. Once you’ve found a car you like, simply select the lease term and repayments that suit you, and apply in minutes to see if you’re eligible.

What is covered under the lease terms and payments?

Your weekly or fortnightly payments will cover the cost of using the vehicle. Carzie covers the cost of comprehensive car insurance and annual registration fees.

Do I pay for regular servicing of the vehicle?

Yes, regular car servicing is required at the customer’s expense as per the Terms and Conditions of the lease agreement.

The vehicles are covered by Carzie vehicle warranty and regular servicing at intervals not greater then 15,000km are required to maintain the vehicle warranty.

Do I need to have my own toll tag?

Yes, you will need to have your own Toll account. Carzie accepts no responsibility for any tolls or traffic infringements incurred.

Will I own the vehicle at the end of the lease agreement?

No, upon expiry of the lease agreement you will not own the vehicle automatically. Under the Lease agreements you have no right or obligation to purchase the vehicle upon completion of your lease agreement.

However, at the end of the lease, you may have the option to purchase the vehicle by making a residual payment based on the car’s residual value, or you can simply return the vehicle to the leasing company. You can make an offer to purchase the vehicle from Alpha Fleet Pty Ltd (our partner and vehicle owner).

Do I need to get car insurance?

No, Carzie will ensure that your vehicle is adequately insured. This means if you comply with state and federal laws and the obligations listed in the Carzie Terms and Conditions you will be covered.
