Privacy Statement
The following is Carzie Australia Pty Ltd's Privacy Statement, and as such conveys Carzie's stance on the handling of both personal information and credit-related information. When the Company collects, uses or discloses personal information (especially creditworthiness information) it is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code 2014.

Personal information collection, use and sharing
The Company collects personal information about you for the purpose of providing lease services to you or someone else you know; assessing your creditworthiness and that of related individuals; obtaining credit-reporting and creditworthiness information about you from credit reporting bodies (CRBs) or other credit providers; delivering, managing and servicing your lease, including the GPS unit and immobiliser fitted to the vehicle; providing you with promotional material; facilitating its internal business operations; analysing the Company's services and customer needs; and because the Company is required or permitted by law to do so.
In order to provide services to you, the Company may disclose your personal information to:
- the Company's employees, contractors, and related and affiliated entities, for the purpose of providing services, operating the business and fulfilling your requests;
- Alpha Car Finance Pty Ltd and other entities within the Alpha Group, of which Carzie is part;
- service providers who assist the Company in operating its business and services, including our telematics and immobiliser providers;
- related entities and organisations with whom the Company has affiliations, so they may provide you with information about services and promotions;
- CRBs such as illion and Equifax, and debt collection agents;
- third parties to whom you have agreed the Company may disclose your information;
- the police or any relevant government authority or enforcement body, where the Company reasonably believes disclosure is necessary;
- third parties where required by law, binding regulation or court order; and
- a proposed or actual purchaser of a sale or transfer of all or part of the Company's business, where your information is relevant.
Identity documents and bank statements
Carzie does not store your identity documents or bank statements. Identity verification and bank statement analysis are carried out directly by our verification providers through their own secure flows. We retain only the provider reference and the verification status, not the underlying documents.
External service providers and overseas disclosure
The Company is assisted by a variety of external service providers, some of whom may be located overseas, including hosting providers in Australia, developers and IT support staff located in New Zealand, and marketing service providers in Australia. You consent to this overseas disclosure and agree that, by providing that consent, APP 8.1 under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) no longer applies. We may disclose credit-related or credit-eligibility information to IT support staff located in New Zealand, who are also bound by the Australian Privacy Principles, and as otherwise permitted by law.
Information standard
If the personal information you provide to the Company is incomplete or inaccurate, the Company may not be able to provide you with the lease services you are seeking.

Our Privacy Policy sets out more detailed information about how we manage personal information, and your rights to access, correct and complain. Our Credit Reporting Policy provides more information about our credit reporting, including the credit reporting bodies to which we are likely to disclose your credit information, and your access, correction and complaint rights. You can request these documents in an alternative form by contacting us.
